What is the difference between an expensive suit and a cheap one, and why does custom tailoring cost $1,500 in one place and $200 in another? The answer is simple and lies in the production technology and in the quality of materials. At Icon Suit, we pay close attention to this and we are proud to offer a reasonable price for premium quality in Smart Luxury.
Base patterns are meticulously developed by a design studio in Holland and fit well even before being customized. The final result is clear at the stage of taking measurements. Our tailors undergo regular training to improve their skills.
We use only proven Italian and English fabrics from Loro Piana, Holland & Sherry, Drago, Vitale Barberis Canonico, Solbiati, Ferla, Ariston, Ermenegildo Zegna. From simple basics for every day, to the most delicate fabrics designed for special occasions.
The interlining is sewn to the fabric by hand along the entire length of the front of the jacket, the fabric is not glued in any place. Thus, the jacket acquires the three-dimensional shape, will not break down with moisture and dry cleaning, and will adjust to your body over time.
The most expensive jackets in the world come with a "barchetta" pocket (Italian for "little boat"), which was invented by Neapolitan tailors. This pocket is slightly rounded, tailored to the shape of the chest and sewn by hand, which is noticeably different from machine-made stitches.
All buttons are attached by hand using a cross stitch. Cross stitching by hand makes the button attachment extremely strong, and our use of shank button stems enables the button to pass through the buttonhole with ease, leaving space between the button and buttonhole to prevent them from pressing against the front of the jacket. The final result is a more polished, crispier look.
The buttonholes that are sewn by hand look significantly different from machine made buttonholes. This detail represents the pinnacle of our craft and is a luxury detail recognized and loved by the true connoisseur.
